TSEK/EKS: A Fact-checking Campaign

The proliferation of fake news is now a fact.

With social media as the preferred conversation and information platform for many, half-truths and untruths are easily accessed, and smoothly spread. These errors lead to unnecessary discord, unhealthy discourse, and deliberate distraction.

We’re doing something about it.

‘TSEK/EKS: A Fact-Checking Campaign’ produced by Probe, makes use of Probe Archives–a collection of Probe stories and raw footage since its inception in the late 1980s–to fight disinformation and infodemic. It was born amid an infodemic, and aims to engage audiences, especially the Gen Z and millennials, on the value of spotting fake news no matter how sophisticatedly they’re packaged.

This project is made possible by Philippine Fact-checker Incubator Fellowship of Internews which ran from October 2021 - September 2022 --
